Welcome to the new homepage for Florida Surf Fishing.com.

Gowge, this would not be here if it wasn't for you and your wealth of information. Thank you my friend.

I would like to extend a huge thanks to those that have donated their time and items to help fund this site and get it rolling.

This site is under construction and new content will be constantly added here, so please feel free to check back often to see what's new.

Also, the online store will be up and running very soon as well, hopefully before Christmas.

To launch this site, I would like to leave you with one of my favorite pictures of my Dad. This picture basically says it all. If I had to give it a title, it would be: "No Words Needed". This picture was taken by my good friend Neil Mackellow. This picture and others are used here with his permission. He is also known here on the message forums as Blackbeard. Check back here for his posts on reels and reel tuning.

This picture is also available in the download of the week as wallpaper for your computer desktop. If you are not sure how to do this, instructions are on the download page.

Welcome, please feel free to browse around and keep checking back as there will be some very informative posts on reels and reel tuning by Neil Mackellow up very soon.

A special thanks goes out to Chris Graham, he can work on my website anytime.

Thanks for dropping by,

Frosty

Tip of the Week

  Cleaning Dirty Reel Frames
Use Bon Ami™ to clean your dirty reel frames.  If they are not too far gone, use a stiff toothbrish and about 1/4 cup of Bon Ami™ in a shallow bowl.  Add enough water to make a paste.  Apply the paste to your reel frame, let sit for 20 minutes, then brush away.  Keep the brush coated with paste while you scrub.
It will shine again afterwards unless it is really pitted.
